Lyle LeRoy Bullinger was born on July 19, 1925, in Kenaston, Saskatchewan, Canada and brought to

eternal rest on March 8, 2024, in Tacoma, Washington.

Lyle is survived by: Kathleen Curtiss (Clay), Roger, Paul (Patty), Ross (Teresa), 10 grandchildren, and 17

great-grandchildren. Lyle is also survived by his brother, Byron.

Lyle is predeceased by his son Neal, grandson Brian, and the love of his life Caroline who passed on

February 28, 2024.

Words that describe the testament of Lyle’s life were service and love. That journey started when Lyle

met his true love Caroline at the University of North Dakota’s first football game of the season. Lyle

went on to get a law degree. Soon after graduation they were married at Gardar Lutheran Church in

Gardar North Dakota on September 9, 1950. They celebrated 73 years of marriage in 2023.

Lyle served in the Navy during WWII. He spent most of his time stationed in Ireland.

Lyle was very involved in church leadership. He and Caroline hosted small group meetings in their home

for years.

Hospitality was the Bullinger’s gift. They opened their home to missionaries from many countries and

young adults who needed a loving home.

Together they traveled the world seeing such beautiful places as The Great Wall of China, Israel,

Australia, and the Fiji Islands.

Their unconditional love was evident in all they did for family and friends. A statement of true love.

The family would like to thank those that helped Lyle and Caroline: Chuck and Diane Schmeckpeper,

Caroline’s niece Susie Paul and her husband Lonnie, Amy and Brandon Stillman, Mike and Bree Bullinger,

and Sue Stroop. Thank you from the bottom of our hears.
