Laurence Michael VanTiem , Age: 63
September 12, 1960 - February 23, 2024

Laurence Michael VanTiem, 63, passed away on February 23, 2024, Peacefully.  

He was preceded in death by his mother, 

Mavis VanTiem and father, Ronald VanTiem. 

 

Laurence was a beloved Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him and Loved Him.

 

Laurence was born on September 12, 1960, in the United Kingdom, where he spent his youngest years before moving to the United States as a young boy and holding dual citizenship. 

 

As an adult, Laurence attended Clover Park Technical College for a Recreational Technician Degree. After graduating, Laurence went on to open his own business for Mobile RV Repair for many years. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.

 

Larry, as many knew him, loved playing Reggae Music. Larry had a love and passion for Reggae Music and the Rastafari Culture with Caribbean Retheme, but more than anything, Larry was a devoted Father.

 He loved spending time with his Son, Daughter-in-law, and Granddaughter at the River or lake, BBQing on hot summer nights, and watching their favorite football games together. Larry was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. 

 

In his free time, Larry enjoyed making walking sticks and adding his touch with crystals, which he incorporated into the wood for a special touch. 

 

Laurence Michael VanTiem is survived by his loving son, 

Austin VanTiem and daughter-in-law Tabatha Brewer.

Grandchildren Mahiya VanTiem, Rachael Mallory

Larry's memories will be cherished by all who know him.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2024 at Larry's favorite spot on the River.

The updates will come at a later date.

Larry, the tears and smiles we share , I know your Cousin, my brother Larry is missing you so very much as he having a rough time grieving for his wife, we have all taken your passing really hard , I have lovely photos and our memories of our chatts on the telephone, the tapes aunty would send, with you pranking , your sense of fun and humour was unique, my Mum , your aunty Lily , so loved you and the trip to USA to look after you all and your Mum.
