Sharon Lee Westberg , Age: 79
September 26, 1943 - June 20, 2023

Sharon Lee Westberg, a lifelong resident of Nisqually Valley in Olympia Washington passed away on June 20, 2023 in Olympia Washington from heart related complications.
 

Sharon Lee Blencoe was born September 26, 1943 in Olympia Washington to Lloyd and Lucille Blencoe. Sharon graduated from North Thurston High School in 1961. She married the love of her life Ray Westberg March 4, 1962. Sharon worked as a secretary for the State of Washington. Sharon and Ray had two children, Carol Rae Westberg and Brian John Westberg both born in Aberdeen Washington. Sharon then became a fulltime homemaker. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was always involved with the school, girl scouts, boy scouts, all her children's activities.
 

Sharon and Ray moved back to Olympia Washington in 1976 and built a home on her family homestead, right next door to her parents. She then went to work for Sherwood Forest Farms managing wreath making. She later went to work for the Cheese Factory in Olympia Washington and worked there until she retired.
 

Sharon was always giving and doing things for others. Once you met her and came to her home (the farm) you just became family. She had so many great friends that she just considered part of her family. Sharon enjoyed sewing, floral, crafts, ceramics, camping, traveling, and cruising with friends and family. Her family was her number one priority and she enjoyed spending time with all of them. She enjoyed gardening and loved her rhododendrons and roses. She is known for her apple pies and cinnamon rolls. Family recipes she carried forward from her mother. When you came for a visit, there would be an apple pie in the oven just for you. The cinnamon rolls are a Christmas tradition she would make for her family to all enjoy on Christmas morning. Sharon enjoyed activities at the Senior center and was always helping there in any way she could. She was very active in helping her husband and son with Chinqually boosters soccer club, and marched in many parades alongside her daughter in the Drum and bugle corp. She loved keeping in touch with family and friends and would chat on the phone for hours, catching up. She was always there to listen and give advice.
 

Sharon is survived by her husband of 61 years Ray Lee Westberg. Her brothers Jim Blencoe, and Allyn Blencoe. Her brother n laws Dean McIntosh, Arnie Westberg, Frank Westberg. Her sister n law Eileen Westberg and Joan Mitchell Creagan. Her children Brian Westberg and wife Tracy Westberg, Carol Asmus and husband Brian Asmus. Her Grandchildren Jessica Esposito and husband Anthony Esposito, Brianna Siry and husband Casey Siry, Sydni Westberg and Fiancé Riley Walchuk. Kyle Westberg and wife Jaqueline Westberg. Her great grandchildren Gianna Esposito, Addyson Siry, Gabriella Esposito and AJ Esposito. Her Nieces Jem Harrison, Linda Gallaher, Cheryl Morsette, Debby Westberg, Cindy Westberg, Karin Westberg. Her nephews Don Westberg, Kelly Wilson, Doug Westberg. Many great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Lucille Blencoe.
 

A celebration of life is planned for July 29, 2023 at 11608 Durgin Rd SE Olympia WA 98513 from 1 pm - 4 pm. Donations can be made in her name at the Senior Center in Lacey Washington.
