The last family owned funeral home in Thurston County.

Eve Antons born August 7, 1935 in or near the city of Riga, Estonia on the Baltic sea in Eastern Europe, passed form this life on January 1, 2023 after a long illness.

The daughter of Karl and Elsa Prees. The family was forced to flee to Germany towards the end of WW2 and eventually immigrated to the US some time in the late 1940’s – Early 1950’s. She attended and graduated from Olympia High School in 1950.

She is survived by a son, Michael of Las Vegas NV, and a daughter, Diana of Seattle WA, 2 grandchildren, Leasha of Tumwater WA and Jesse of Cincinnati OH, as well as several relatives in British Columbia, Edmonton, and Canada.

During the course of her life  she met and married her lifelong husband, Martin Antons shortly after the family’s immigration to the USA , whom is laid to rest right next to where we are gathered today. She developed a love for gardening and landscaping which she shared with her husband. After dad retired, he began doing various trade shows on the West Coast and mom traveled with him many times over the years. Mom also did some business school, at the onset of the computer age. She continued her love of landscaping and gardening for the remainder of her life until she could no longer do it, for health reasons. She loved attending garage sales and collecting interesting kick-knacks for her decorative yard display and always loved to go shopping at her favorite shops.

Mom was always quick to encouragement to her children, especially in times of trouble, and found joy I’m our triumphs and successes. She most certainly will be missed by many people, including her lifelong friends and her children.
