Terry Warren Shawler
Born: September 10, 1933, in Roe, Arkansas
Preceded in death by his father: O. K. (Pat) Shawler;
Mother: Myrtle Franklin Joslin; Sister: Colleen Shawler 
Sutton; and daughter Jaquelyn Shawler Yancho.
 
Terry graduated from Clarendon High School in 1951,
joined the National Guard prior to college and ROTC at the
University of Arkansas, but before completion, Terry enlisted
in the US Air Force.
He was married to Joyce Oldham for 23 years and welcomed 
three beautiful daughters.
 
Terry Shawler was an Industrious person who took life 
seriously. Before entering college, he worked for his father in
construction driving heavy equipment. Terry achieved the rank
of Senior Master Sargent in the USAF with commendations
for outstanding service,  and retired after 23 years in the service. 
He then worked as a superintendent of aeronautical engineers
for an American company, Flight Systems.
 
He was a life-member of the VFFW and member of numerous
other organizations. Among his most outstanding
achievements, he reached the 32nd degree of the Masonic
order which means meant a lot to him.
 
He is survived by his wife Blanche Boals Shawler of Lacey, 
WA; two daughters - Sherrye Shawler Roberts Clark of 
Lancaster, CA; Karyn Shawler Armstrong of Escondido, CA; 
four grandchildren and other family members.
Terry would have felt honored by his impressive Military
Farewell.
