Troy Mires, 58, died on December 8, 2022 at his home in Rainier, Washington. He was born in Florida on December 17, 1963 to Jackie Louis Mires and Lois Dowell Mires.

He attended Washington State University and enjoyed many different careers before getting his Licensed Practical Nurse degree. He spent his working years at nursing homes with the elderly and at Western State Hospital, working with the mentally ill. He medically retired due to increasing issues related to his diabetes.

He cared for both of his parents prior to their deaths in 2019 and 2020. Troy is survived by his sister, Regina Neff; son, Samson Mires; and his daughter, Sadie Mires.

He will be missed by his many friends and family, including his caregivers in the community. His ashes will be scattered on the beach with his mother's.
