Surrounded by loving family members, Mary Lou Reay, formerly of Federal Way, Washington, passed away on September 4^th, 2022, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. She will be remembered as a loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Mary was born on March 2^nd, 1943, in Blackfoot Idaho to Thomas Lyon Chapman, Junior and Mary Louise Morse Chapman. She attended schools in Blackfoot Idaho, graduating from Blackfoot High School in 1961. After graduating high school, she worked at several retail locations, until finding her passion in higher education. She truly loved working in an academic setting and worked at several Universities in Washington State including Western Washington University, Clover Park Technical College, and Pierce College, as Administrative Assistant to the vice President for Instruction.

Mary married the love of her life Alton Reay on May 24^th, 1975. They live in both Blackfoot and Pocatello, Idaho, prior to moving to Washington State in 1980.

Mary is survived by her children: Patrick A. Reay (Jen) of North Kingstown, RI; Michael Reay (Marilyn) of Olympia, WA; Randy Reay of Puyallup, WA; seven (7) grandchildren; Matthew, Zachary, Nicholas, Thomas, Brandon; Alissa, Bryanna and Ten (10) great grandchildren; Zachary Jr., Bennett, Quinn, Elana, Marley, Charlotte, Mathew Jr., Vicente, Romeo, and Rhett

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Lyon Chapman, Junior; mother, Mary Louise Morse Chapman; sisters Karen Fay Chapman, and Gayle Ann Tate; grandfather, Richard Morse; grandmother, Bessie Jamison Morse; grandfather, Thomas Lyon Chapman, Senior; and, grandmother, Laura Smyth Chapman.

A Memorial Service will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home on March 2^nd, 2023, at 1:00 PM followed by a graveside service at 2:00 PM, with reception and fellowship to follow.
