Shirley came to St. Martin's college in the Fall of 1969 the first year it was co-educational. She was charming and bright, a great conversationalist in class and outside the classroom. Helen, her mom, and Barbara, her sister, were integral to the life of the college. Helen, having us young men students for dinner, at the Petropoulos home on the water, and Barbara working at the college information center. Fr. Kilian and Dr. Les Bailey commented that Shirley had a first class mind... they both considered her a close friend. Rest in Peace, Shirley, We will miss you!
