Woodlawn Funeral Home Obituaries

Jayne Hoyt , Age: 77
October 31, 1944 - August 27, 2022

Jayne Marie Hoyt was born October 31, 1944 and passed away August 27, 2022. She was an extraordinarily beautiful woman in so many ways.

She was a beloved wife to her husband Mike, a loving and fiercely protective mother to her children and a wonderful Grandma/Great Grandma. All her babies brought her tremendous joy.  Jayne had many friends and all found her to be smart, funny, and trustworthy.

Jayne will be remembered for her pea salad and her Thanksgiving relish (family favorites) but mostly for her kindness, truthful nature, her love of gardening and animals. She had exceptional skills at Jeopardy and an ability to find a really good garage sale. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center which was code for the Casino. We are happy to say that luck was usually on her side. She was gentle but a tough lady. She endured adversity with resilience and grace - always putting one foot in front of the other. We all admired how she moved through life.

She was a person who loved to share all good things - she was a connector and always willing to help someone.

Jayne was the only child of Arthur and Garnet Miller. She was their pride and joy. As she was finishing high school she married Jim Gibson. He was the oldest of 12 kids. She joined a very energetic Catholic family. Even though they divorced, his family have always adored her. Jayne and her current husband, Mike became good friends with Jim and his wife, Glenda. All four were wonderful role models for Michelle and Mike.

Jayne and Mike met while selling cars, dated for a few years and have enjoyed a wonderful marriage for over 34  years. They had so many fun adventures. Motorcycle trips, boating, fishing, traveling, and just loving life. They lived the right way and were true partners - always honoring each other and the vows they made so many years ago.

Jayne is survived by her husband Mike, her children Michelle and Mike (Tina), Grandchildren Nick (Ashley), Ryan (Niccole), Nicole.

Great Grandchildren Sabriel, Logan, KayLea, and Odin.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Arthur, Garnet and sadly her Grandson, Max Paris.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to your local animal shelter. That would make Jayne smile and feel pretty special.

Condolences
