Cecilia L. (Burke) Roberts was born March 6, 1934 in Wenatchee, WA to John and Cecil Burke. She passed away peacefully at home on March 17, 2022 in Lacey, WA.

Cecilia grew up and attended Waterville schools through graduation. She worked for the National Bank of Commerce in both Waterville and Seattle when she met and married her husband, Leo. They were married on April 8, 1961 at St. James Cathedral in Seattle. Cecilia worked for Mason Freight Lines, the Olympia School District and other positions during her lifetime. Leo and Cecilia built their home in Kent, WA and raised their 3 children, Laurie, Cathy and Dale, there until July 4, 1977 when the family relocated to Lacey. On January 1, 1983, Cecilia and Leo opened Lacey Door & Millwork which is currently operated by their daughter and son.

Cecilia's faith and love for her family and friends was the most important aspect of her life. She always had positive comments to say about everyone. She enjoyed reading and traveling to new places. Many of her trips were taken with family and friends, which included going to Europe, New York City, and many trips to visit her brother Phil and Harriet in Arizona throughout the years.

Cecilia is preceded in death by her parents John and Cecil, brother Phil, brother-in-law Milton (Mac), brother-in-law George, sister-in-law Judy, and nephews Gregory Allan and Wayne. She is survived by her husband Leo, her brother Vince (MaryAnn), brother-in-law Ray (Fran), sisters-in-law Rose and Harriet, children Laurie (Mark), Cathy (John), Dale (Jami), 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center or Seattle Children's Hospital.

In honor of Cecilia's Irish heritage and her passing on St. Patrick's Day, the family is wearing green and invites you to join us as well.
