Randy Lowell Levison

Randy Lowell Levison, 60 years old, passed away suddenly in the early morning of Wednesday, September 1^st, 2021, at his home in Lacey, Washington. He was born in Lompoc, California on a beautiful June 17^th day in 1961 to Wesley Lowell Levison and Mary Frances Surbur.

Growing up, Randy lived in Baldwin Park, California and graduated from Sierra Vista High School in 1978. Following high school, Randy joined the U.S. Army. He served honorably for 20 years as Military Police and Fire Support, retiring as a Staff Sargent in 1998. During his time with the Army, Randy served in Germany, Panama, Haiti, and retiring at Fort Lewis (now JBLM), Washington. After his retirement from the military, Randy joined the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier. He worked at USPS for over 20 years, retiring just the day before he passed away.

In 1980, while in Germany, Randy met Marita Pieneke, and they married in March 1981. They had two children Kevin Levison and Monika Levison.

Randy loved being outdoors. One of his passions was his motorcycle and taking long road trips all over the States. He loved to tinker on cars and whatever seemed to be needing fixed. He was a golfer and bowler. At the time he passed, he was remodeling his house and was very proud of his progress. Randy was a very loving and giving person. He loved messing with people and picking on them. His sense of humor and sarcasm will be sorely missed.

Randy will be missed by his former wife Marita, and their children Kevin and Monika, his parents Wesley Levison and Fran Beckett, sister Victoria Salazar, uncle James Surber, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by grandparents Lauritz and Ida Levison, and Paul Williams and Luella Savole.

Randy was laid to rest with his military buddies at Tahoma National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021.
