Bonnie Ruth Eickhoff passed away on April 30,2023.

An Olympia resident for more than 60 years, she was born in February 1939 -the 5th child out of 7 and raised in Charleston WVa.  She moved to Spokan at age 20 in search of love and adventure. There she met Donald Eickhoff, recently discharged from the Air Force.  After a brief courtship, they were married April 30, 1960.

They lived in Charleston for a few years and eventually moved back to Olympia, where they bought a home and raised a son and a daughter.  Bonnie supported her husband in a family auto parts business.  She kept a spotless home, and was a legendary cook reluctant to give up her secrets.  She was active in the Moose and Elks, cooking, sewing and crocheting for many bazaars. She enjoyed traveling to the coast, cross country road trips to West Virginia and visits to Reno.  She was an avid bowler in many leagues, and she out paced Don in the trophy count.  She worked for and retired from North Thurston Schools where she was a school cook.  Her and Don also opened the first kite shop in Ocean Shores in the early 80’s.  She enjoyed trips to the casino with Don, and loved to cook obscene quantities of food and pies for friends and family for holidays and long weekends.

She passed on what would have been her and Don’s 63rd Wedding Anniversary.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Don.  She leaves behind her son Ernest Eickhoff (Sandy), daughter Cheryl Phillips (Ed), three grand children, Wesley, Kitti, and Bernadette.  Her younger sister Carol Conley, numerous nieces and nephews.   

Funeral services are Tuesday 1pm, June 13, 2023.  Oddfellows Memorial Park 3802 Cleveland Ave SE. Tumwater WA 98501
