Gina Aversano, 66, passed away on April 1, 2023 in Bonney Lake, WA.  Gina was born on August 18, 1956 in Seattle, WA to parents Louis (Geno) Aversano and Mary J. (Holman) (Aversano)  McElwain.  She attended Tyee High School and took various extended learning classes to master truck driving skills.

 

Gina had a passion for driving the “big trucks” and worked as a truck driver at NC Machinery, RCI / Parsons Construction, OMA Construction, and out of Local Teamsters 174.  She was a social bug and made many lifelong friends throughout her work and personal life.

 

Gina loved to help others and touched so many lives throughout the years and was a ray of sunlight to those that were lucky enough to know her.  She will be remembered by her great laugh.

 

Her dogs were her world and she loved playing with them and providing the latest and greatest gadgets on the market for them.  In Gina’s spare time she enjoyed: taking pictures, camping, rubber stamping, embossing, card making, holiday crafts, and other assorted crafting projects. She also enjoyed snow skiing, rafting the river, roller skating, ice skating, swimming, sun bathing, watching and shopping on HSN and QVC.  A nice glass of wine with family and friends was always top of the list.

 

Gina is survived by her Son: Scott Rigsbee (Angel), Sister: Ana Mattson (Ed); Brother: Ricky McElwain (Kim); Nieces: Crystal, Sammie; Nephews: Ken, Curtis, Canyon, Corey, Nick; Grandchildren: Mersadies, Jared, Jacob, Marissa, Jase; Great Grandchildren: Lennox, Isaiah, Monroe, Collin, Aiviiana, Emryhs, Aniah, Alaia.
 


She is predeceased by her Father, Louis (Geno); Mother, Mary; Dogs: Crystal, Bandit, Littlebit.
