Myrna June Lange , Age: 81
August 07, 1940 - January 16, 2022

Myrna June (Molder) Lange was born on August 7, 1940, in Regina, Saskatchewan Canada to Siegfried
and Hildegarde Molder. She passed away on January 16, 2022, in Olympia, WA, at age 81, due to
complications with Alzheimer’s.
She is survived by her 2 daughters: Magen (Joe) Queen of Poway, CA, and April (Dave) Runkel of Tenino,
WA; her brothers Keith (Eileen) Molder, Boyd (Paula) Molder of Regina, Saskatchewan, sister Glenda
(Ken) Murray of Ottawa, Ontario; and four grandchildren Lucas & Jessalyn Queen; and Layne & Layla
Runkel. Preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Irvine Lange, and son, Blair Lange.
A beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, she will be greatly missed. She grew up on a
prosperous grain farm near Southey, Saskatchewan Canada until attending Luther College in Regina,
Saskatchewan. She married the love of her life, Irvine in 1962. In 1966 she gave birth to Blair Irvine. In
the late 60’s they moved to Seattle, WA where Irvine worked for Lockheed shipyards and the Plumbers
and Pipefitters Union, Local 32.
Myrna and Irvine had two daughters in the 70’s and resided in Burien, WA for 38 years. Myrna was a
homemaker while her children were young and had a home daycare for several years until returning to
the workforce in the 80’s. She worked as an underwriter’s assistant for insurance companies in Seattle.
In the 90’s, Myrna began working at St. Vincent de Paul in Burien, WA until she retired in 2006.
Her entire life centered around her faith in God, and this is her biggest legacy. She grew up Lutheran and
was confirmed. She was an active member of Glendale Evangelical Lutheran Church in Burien, WA
where she taught Sunday school, vacation bible school and participated in bible studies. She was a
faithful member of the choir for many years. She brought her children to church and raised them in the
faith.
Mom loved singing dancing and sewing. She taught her children songs and sang them lullabies while
rocking and snuggling her children and grandbabies. Myrna learned many dances growing up and loved
to dance with her husband (their favorite was the Jive). She made dresses for her girls and clothes for
their dolls. Myrna also altered her clothes for proper fit as she was a beautiful lady who loved to look
nice.
Myrna also enjoyed traveling and exploring new cities. Her favorite spots included: Cannon Beach,
Hawaii, Las Vegas, New York City, and Quebec City. She and Irvine loved to cruise and enjoyed several
including the Caribbean, Mexico, and Alaska. She traveled back to Canada many times to visit her family
also.
Mom will be remembered for her dark hair, red lipstick, and loving smile. She was friendly and knew all
neighbors, many who she loved as family. Myrna had many friends because she was sweet, kind and a
good listener. She made everyone feel welcome and expressed a general interest in others.
One of her greatest titles of all time was grandma, she loved to spend time with her four grandchildren.
She traveled between San Diego, CA and Puyallup, WA to visit them and attend events they were part
of, and proud of each milestone!

Her Celebration of Life will be held at 12:30pm, Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Glendale Lutheran Church,
followed by a reception in the Education Building, 13455 2 nd Ave. SW, Burien, WA 98146.
