Harry Edward Webb passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at St. Peter Hospital with his granddaughter, Kira Thompson and her husband, Bobby by his side.  Harry was born on November 27, 1936 in Chelan, Washington to Alfred and Anna Webb.  Harry was the third child born into a family of nine children.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard and sisters Mary and Betty.

In 1966, Harry moved from Olympia, Washington to St. Helen’s, Oregon where he enjoyed a long career as a truck driver and mechanic.  He enjoyed playing pool and was an avid bowler his whole life.  Bowling was Harry’s passion.  He belonged to several bowling leagues and enjoyed participating in local and state bowling tournaments.  During his long bowling career, he won several tournaments and collected numerous awards.  Harry passed his love of bowling onto to his children and also enjoyed coaching youth bowlers.  When he wasn’t bowling; he loved to watch the PBA and ABC bowling tournaments on television.  He could tell you when every tournament was scheduled and never missed watching any of them.

Harry didn’t believe in retirement, when he stopped driving trucks, he began working at the Oregon Trail Bowling Lanes in St. Helen’s, Oregon, where he worked for many years.  In 2008, he finally decided it was time to retire and moved to Olympia to live with his son Dwayne and daughter in law Deb.  Harry didn’t waste any time making sure he could continue his passion of bowling. He joined the bowling community in Olympia and made many good friends over the years.  He loved getting together with his friends, playing cards and board games for hours.

Harry was born and raised in the country; he loved his horses and remained a cowboy at heart.  He loved to watch old western shows and movies; he could often be found in front of the television watching his favorite shows.  Harry also loved the ocean; he would sit for hours just watching and listening to the waves.  He enjoyed vacationing on a cruise ship and spending time on Maui. He would always say the ocean was his happy place.

Harry was loved by many, he was a friend, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Harry is survived by his children, Dwayne (Deb) Webb, Tim (Luann) Webb, Debbie (Craig) Kendall; grandchildren, Kira (Robert) Thompson, Tyson Webb, Jessica (Kevin) Kales, Nigel (Rosemarie) Webb, Melissa (MC) Gamble, Brandon Barckley, Ashley (Chris) Miramontes, and 9 great-grandchildren.  He leaves behind brothers Ray, Bill and Bob Webb and sisters Esther Stout and Patti Hood.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity to honor Harry’s life.
